These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Vula career-guidance service on WhatsApp and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by [Registered company name] ("Vula", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who may use Vula
Vula is intended for South African high-school learners. If you are under 18, you may only use Vula with the permission of your parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. What Vula is — and what it is not

- Vula is not professional, accredited career counselling, and it is not legal, financial or psychological advice.
- Subject requirements, qualification pathways, admission criteria and bursary terms vary by institution and change over time. Always verify current requirements directly with the relevant school, college, university or funder.
- Vula does not guarantee any particular result, admission, bursary, qualification or employment outcome.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about yourself.
- Use the Service for its intended purpose, and not unlawfully, abusively, or to impersonate others.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or misuse the Service.
4. Consent to be contacted
Where you choose to be connected to institutions or bursary providers, you consent to us sharing relevant information with them so they can contact you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
5. Third-party services
The Service is delivered through WhatsApp (Meta) and our messaging partner (Twilio), and uses other providers for hosting and processing. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6. Intellectual property
The Vula name, logo, content, assessment and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, resell or commercially exploit them without our written permission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vula and its operators will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on the guidance provided, decisions you make based on it, or any interruption to the Service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
8. Suspension & changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
